Aesthetic portrait photography

Portrait photography begins with an eye. The eye is to the photographer what the fingers are to the pianist: it can be trained through years of practice. This entails not only seeing fine pictures and paintings, but understanding what constitutes the highest quality across domains of creation, with a focus on visual beauty.

My portrait work relies on natural light and often settings that bespeak the sitter. Sessions frequently involve spontaneous arrangements. I normally do not offer many pictures as final products, but submit only the choicest pieces to the client.
